Before using your laptop or computer to connect to the UKZN network you must install an up-to-date anti-virus application. For UKZN owned machines, ESET antivirus software comes pre-installed.  On your personal computers make sure you are running your own anti-virus program.

Ensure that the antivirus program is updated with the most recent virus signature database.

To check and update the ESET Antivirus Program

• Make sure your computer is connected to the network
• Right click on the ESET icon in the taskbar and select “Virus Signature Updates.
