The Systems & Services section or S&S are part of the Infrastructure, Networks & Communications section of ICS. Together with the Infrastructure section, the Systems & Services section are at the core of the ICS Support structure. They are the “engine room” for all ICS-supported IT systems university wide.
The S&S staff comprise of a group of technical experts. They install and maintain most IT systems at UKZN and provide second-level support to all other ICS sections, including User Support & Student Computing.
They also architect, plan and implement IT solutions for UKZN under the auspices of the ICS Project Management Office.
